For anyone who wants a headset with a bit of style this version of Sound iD’s headset solves what has previously been a bit of an issue for me– they were pretty boring. Despite having just one obvious switch the SIX has tons and tons of useful features. The call button is buried at the back of the large flat surface of the headset. The volume is adjusted through the touch surface that runs along the flat face of the headset. And the EarPrint app adds some excellent customizations that make the headset one of the more easily configurable devices we have seen.
Other than the initial learning curve there is one other issue I ran into. Bluetooth is notoriously finicky technology. Sometimes items refuse to pair or connect until the fifth try. Other times the connection seems to wane for no apparent reason. Neither of these was an issue with the SIX. This was. There were times when static would crackle for no apparent reason. I would not be moving or shifting the position of the headset or phone and yet, there it was. This didn’t happen constantly but it was there at times. There DID seem to be less of it as I used the headset more and more but I would be remiss were I not to mention it in this review.
In all, the Sound iD Bluetooth headset it a good option if you are in the market for a small headset that does not have a boom or an over-the-ear design, has good voice quality, and packs in some nifty technology thanks to an accompanying app. You can learn more and order yours here on the Sound iD website.

Nowadays we are constantly on the go. Whether it is activities with our families and friends or for business we lead active lifestyles. Managing these tasks can be cumbersome but with technology like the Sound ID 510 Bluetooth headset and one of the world’s leading Smartphone’s some of those tasks just got a little bit easier!
On October 14th Apple launched the highly anticipated iPhone 4S and its flagship feature, Siri. Siri allows users to use their voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, set reminders and more. It understands natural speech and asks you questions if it doesn’t understand you. This alone is a big step forward in voice recognition technology. Most of the devices on the market that employ voice recognition force you remember keywords or commands. Siri takes a conversational approach.
Siri works with the Sound ID 510 Bluetooth headset in several ways! You can use Siri to listen to a song, Google an idea or thought, check the weather or set an alarm. With your Sound ID 510 Bluetooth headset, press and hold the call button to bring up Siri. The mic will light up and Siri will begin to listen to you! When engaged in dialogue with Siri using the 510, simply tap the Siri Microphone icon on the iPhone 4S and Siri will listen to you again. Siri will then confirm your commands or requests by reading the test or messages back to you before it creates them. This is helpful when you are using your Sound ID 510 while driving and can’t see your iPhone 4S.
Siri is in beta and will continue to improve over time. It has the ability to learn your accent and different characteristics of your voice to work better over time. An example of this is when you want to place a phone call to your sister. The first time you use Siri you can say, “Call my sister.” Siri will respond by asking, “What is your sister’s name?” and you can respond by saying her name. Since your sister’s name is already in your contacts, Siri will understand that contact as your sister. The next time you place a call by just asking “Call my sister” Siri knows who you want to call!
This is some pretty cool stuff! To learn more and order your Sound ID 510 Bluetooth headset with the EarPrint App for iPhone 4S, visit Sound ID for more info! For more info on Siri check out Apple’s Siri FAQ page.
