SoundID Get App Home

If your headset is connected to a phone and you wish to pair it with another phone, you can do so by following the below steps:

  1. Turn the headset OFF (Red is showing on the ON/OFF switch).
  2. Put the headset into pairing mode and connect it to your phone (see Getting Started).

In most cases, the Sound ID 5 Series will automatically reconnect to your first phone once you finish pairing with the second phone. If this does not happen, you can manually reconnect using your phone's Bluetooth menu.

While the headset is paired and connected to 2 phones you may receive phone calls to either phone but you may only use one phone for Music/Media (A2DP) connection. Therefore, you have to designate which phone you want to play media.

Two methods for designating the media handset:

  1. Turn both phones off, then "Turn On" the phone you want to use for media. After the connection is established "Turn On" the second phone.
  2. A number of handsets allow you to "Turn Off" the Media connection. Go to the Bluetooth set-up menu and look under Options. Uncheck the Audio Source, A2DP or Media Source. This will prevent this phone from competing for the media signal. Currently, iPhone does not offer this feature.

When using two phones in multipoint, it is recommended to use the EarPrint App in only one of the phones. Note that the EarPrint settings are saved in the Sound ID 510 headset. So if you customize your headset in EarPrint on one phone and then use it on the other paired phone, the headset will remain customized to your original settings. Note, if you reset the headset it will return to the factory settings.
